Anne-Sophie Dutat, the French masterpiece of an entrepreneur behind Guía Vulevú and Nina’s Box, announced via The Next Web that she sold both companies (and Hello-Kitchen!) to Fancybox, who expands with this its influence over LatinAmerica. As described by The Next Web, Anne “is joining the group as Fancybox LATAM’s co-founder, and as a shareholder in its parent company. She will also act as the company’s country manager for Chile, and as its regional head of business development, publishing and new media.” We are happy for Fancybox: they got to join forces with a really, really talented entrepreneur. The BBC published about TOHL and the great help they could provide if there were to be another earthquake in Chile. TOHL was created after the earthquake hitting Haiti in 2010 but, as the BBC notes, “Chile is one the countries ready to give it a try if it becomes necessary.” If you are interested in startups with a huge potential on social impact, TOHL is definitely a startup you need to keep on sight. Start-Up Chile´s Alliances Director, Caro Rossi, is traveling on the SUPBoat in order to spread the word about Start-Up Chile so people from every country out there apply to our program. Webprendedor and El Nortero got excited about it! She visited Montenegro and had a great time talking about suppers life at Web Fest.ME.
