Mihály Borbély was born in Budapest, Hungary, his background is a strange mix of social research, photography and short films, with a special interest in crowdsourced creativity. To combine his passion for visual storytelling and technology, he founded Brickflow, a web application that lets you build memorable stories from social media content. Brickflow started out with a crowdfunding campaign (ingiegogo.com/brickflow), which helped them in ways they never expected.
Crowdfunding is an often overlooked opportunity for startups, which offers a lot more benefits than just money. Mihály wants to share his experience on how to run a successful crowdfunding campaign, how to get the most out of it, and how to avoid common mistakes by being aware of some misconceptions.
