Agravat Bipin, known affectionately and simply as Bip, is part of the first round of 2011 Start-Up Chile entrepreneurs, is from India, and is 36 years old. He’s a mechanical engineer who works in computer programming and design whose parents saved every last penny to be able to send him to University.
His startup, Ability, is an application that transforms text to voice and to sign language for people with communicative difficulties so that they can communicate more rapidly and naturally. Bip was inspired to take on this project when he was volunteering with special needs children and met a little girl who was deaf and had trouble communicating with other people.
His plan is to launch Ability in English in July and in Hindi in September.
