SUP News | Start-Up Chile closes the application process with more than 1800 applicants


1809 startups from 51 countries applied to the entrepreneurial program. The selection will start soon, were 100 startup will receive $20 million pesos (abour $34K Usd) equity-free seed funding and the opportunity to establish themselves in Chile for six months. Now YouNoodle judges have a hard job selecting the companies that will be part of Start-Up Chile’s thirteenth generation.





The startups looking to be part of the program came from 51 countries. Chile took the first place with 40% of the applications. The second was for United States with 8%, while the third place went to Argentina with 7%


Regarding industries, 17% of the applications received are engaged in IT and Enterprise Software, 11% are about social networks, 10% is dedicated to e-commerce, and 8% to education.


All 1809 applications now must now over go an extensive evaluation process lead by YouNoodle and the Subcommittee on Entrepreneurship at Corfo. Once this process is complete, each applicant will be informed of his or her acceptance or rejection on 10th April 2015.
