Social entrepreneurship is on the rise. For the first time in Forbes’ 94-year history, they’ve assembled the Impact 30: a list of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs. A “social entrepreneur” is a person who uses business to solve social issues. The local Chilean social entrepreneurship community is forming rapidly and this meet-up is part of that emerging formation.
This meet-up will be a chance to learn about social ventures in Chile, how these respective projects were born, the importance of social entrepreneurship at large, and the state of the sector in Chile. We’re working with Emprendimiento Social Chile to bring the local and Start-Up Chile worlds of social innovation together for a fun night. Note: The first three speakers will be in Spanish *with slides in English* and the SUP speakers and Q&A will be in English.
WHERE: Casa Lastarria, 2nd Floor, Lastarria 70 (Metro Universidad Católica)
WHAT: Opening the evening with 5 speakers (45 minutes total), followed by Q&A (30 minutes) and drinks and live music to follow.
