Start-Up Chile opens applications for technology-based startups led by women

Until December 18th, startups from all around the world can apply to be part of Generation 9 of The S Factory (TSF) program of Start-Up Chile. Everyone who identifies as a female and wants to participate in the No. 1 accelerator in Latin America, can apply through org/programs/the-s-factory/.

The winners will obtain an equity free fund of up to USD 25K (app.), a free co-workspace and a 4-month pre-acceleration program to transform their idea into a global business. 

Until December 18th, startups with less than 12 months of development, from any country in the world and with a founder that identifies as a female, may apply to be part of one of the largest entrepreneurship communities in the world.

During the 4-month pre-acceleration program, participants will be able to share with other entrepreneurs from more than 85 countries, work in a free coworking space, and have mentoring, workshops and connections with global and corporate networks, among other benefits. In addition, and for the first time, they will be able to receive up to equity free USD 25k (app.) for the development of their startup. All those foreign founders will also have access to a work visa for one year so that they can start their business from Chile.

The minimum requirements to apply are that the startup has not more than 12 months since its founding, that the base team is led by at least one person who identifies as a female and that she is 100% dedicated to the project. The applicants must also reflect the global view and a clear expansion strategy in the application.

Those interested can apply until December 18th through startupchile.org/programs/the-s-factory/. The projects will be reviewed by an evaluation committee of Entrepreneurship in Corfo.

The results of this application will be published on January 25th and the program will begin on March 11th, 2019.
