Bios of the presenters:
Mike Hennessey currently advises and invests with early stage technology companies in a variety of sectors including digital media (Ustream, LongTail Video, PulpoMedia), cleantech (PrinciplePower, Greenbiz), Saas and consumer internet (CCatapult), security/hardware (AlphaCard, Violin Memory). He also serves on the board of Hennessey Capital and studied in Spain, Mexico and Chile at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Universidad de Guadalajara.
Dan Green is Counsel in Goodwin Procter’s Business Law Department and a member of the Technology Companies Group in Silicon Valley. Dan has extensive experience working with private and public companies on general corporate and transactional matters, including venture capital financings, public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. Dan represents a large number of Latin American start-ups and VCs including Needish/Groupon Latin America, Scopix, Welcu, ArchDaily, Atakama Labs, Aurus, Classroom.tv and Pictorical. Dan studied at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile while on an exchange program at Stanford and is married to a Chilean.
Ryan Thompson is an Associate in Goodwin Procter’s Business Law Department and a member of the Technology Companies Group in Silicon Valley. Ryan represents start-up technology companies from Silicon Valley and South America, VCs and Private Equity Firms. Ryan is a former litigator with deep experience in IP, licensing, securities laws and corporate governance. He is interested in building relationships with entrepreneurs from South and Latin America to act as a bridge to Silicon Valley.
