It´s a new week at Start-Up Chile, and time for another meetup. For this week´s meetup you will meet Shlomy Kattan, he is the Founder of Kudo Learning,the first interactive, adaptive mobile second language learning platform for preschoolers. Kudo creates fun, easy, effective content to give every child the gift of a second language.
Shlomy is passionate about changing the way children learn. He earned his PhD in Education from UC Berkeley, where he was a Wenner-Gren Fellow and taught courses on language education. He has over a decade of experience in second language acquisition research and instruction. From 2010-2012, he was a Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, where he advised leading technology and media companies on strategy and operations. Prior to BCG, Shlomy was the founder and first Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley Review of Education, a peer-reviewed journal that publishes work on educational equity by leading scholars and policy makers. Prior to joining the graduate program at UC Berkeley, Shlomy was National Service Manager at Wall Street Institute, where he oversaw 13 language education centers in Ecuador, Panama, and Costa Rica. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew and proficient in French, Portuguese and Italian.
