Clara Vieira and Andreas Eberharter, from Portugal and Austria respectively, are the founders of Claan, a media and design studio based in Porto, Portugal. During their time working together and with numerous clients, they began to develop a digital publishing solution, Leafer, that allows their users, including Siemens, to create interactive multimedia publications for the web and mobile devices, integrating sound, video, images, and urls.
In the video, the pair is featured on a program called “Radar de negócios” (Business Rader). This specific episode was made showcasing 3 companies that participated in the Tech Media Europe investor forum, where Leafer won the Award for the Best Presentation, as selected by an elite panel of analysts, businesses, experts and investors.
Before founding Claan Studio in 2008, Clara and Andreas, a graduate of the University of Applied Arts Vienna, worked and lived in Rotterdam, Netherlands and Vienna, Austria. As of April 1, 2011, they moved into a new headquarters at the PINC/ UPTEC (the Creative Industry Center of UPTEC, the Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto) and are now based in Chile as of June, participating in the Start-Up Chile program developing Leafer– now in beta.
