Tomorrow, Amit and Nicolas with their business CruiseWise, the first team to arrive to Chile via the Start-Up Chile program, will headline the first Start-Up Café event being held by the Universidad de Desarrollo (University of Development) at their Apoquindo campus in Santiago.
It is the commencing initiative in their “Energize Yourself with New Ideas” series, conceptualized by the Dean of the Business School, Rodrigo Castro, and the Director of the UDD Incubator, Carolina Comandary. It will be an open event where attendees can ask the CruiseWise team questions about their endeavor, their experience thus far in Chile, and what their future plans are. A crowd of nearly 200 students and faculty members is expected.
As a cornerstone of Start-Up Chile’s philosophy, getting involved and becoming connected with the Chilean startup community is required for all entrepreneurs participating in the program– and something they are happy to do. Amit, after arriving to Chile in September, says that it is “exciting to interact with students and talk about our experience” and that he is “very much looking forward” to the event tomorrow.
Castro, a longtime example of academic excellence, is hoping that, with these kinds of events, the entrepreneurial environment will be reinforced as a viable ecosystem. After just having signed a prestigious accord with Stanford, and MIT, Castro reiterates that the university’s “milestone is entrepreneurship and innovation” and that he hopes to “strengthen the environment of entrepreneurship of our university community.”
Again, the event is open to the public and will begin at 8:45am. For more information on how to arrive, please click here.
