Creative Coffee events are informal, open networking events for creative entrepreneurs, freelancers and everyone interested in the business part of creativity. They are usually held in public places such as cafés or bars, and everyone buys their own drinks.
They have been initiated in Iași, Romania by CIA (not that one, but the Creative Industries Association), where it reached the 10th edition and has had great impact in the local creative business community.
The format is simple. For the first hour we have a guest who shares his/her ideas, experience and answers your questions, the rest if for shoulder–rubbing and meeting new interesting peers (it’s called networking).
For the first edition of Creative Coffee Valdivia we have invited one of the initiators of Manga Corta, Alan Earle. Alan will talk about the challenges he faced in the last 2 years with Manga Corta, the platform that brings together designers and consumers for the supply of customed T-shirts.
Together with him we have an entrepreneur from Australia, David Truong who will talk about their challenges in Brocol-E-Games, a venture focused on developing video games for children and school for Iphones and Ipads. His game with Springbird Maths has had over 30,000 downloads and has been played more than 230,000 times. David is part of the 2013 generation of Start Up Chile.
Just come along, enjoy and meet new interesting people. Attending the event is free of charge, just remember to buy your own coffee!
The event is organized jointly by Worksurfers and Nodo de Industrias Creativas of San Sebastián Valdivia University, and funded by CORFO InnovaChile.
