Today, Diego May, Junar‘s CEO (in the orange t-shirt), presented the startup (that was the second company to join Start-Up Chile in 2010) in the 2011 Red Innova Open Talent contest in Madrid, Spain. The competition is annually organized by Red Innova, the #1 entrepreneurship, innovation, internet, and creativity network for Iberoamerica, where, this year, 20 startups from Spain and LatinAmerica where gathered to present their ideas for a $100k prize financed by the BBVA bank.
Off Track Planet, a 2011 Start-Up Chile participant originally from Argentina, was also among the 20 invitees and, in the final top five, the Chilean startup Ganeselo accompanied Junar on the podium. Palbin, a platform that enables small businesses, micro and freelancers to create an online store with technology in the cloud very quickly, easily and cheaply, was the final winner of the $100k prize.
According to Andre Hess, Junar’s Business Development manager, “the presentation went very well, so well that we were selected as one of the top 5 projects, which makes us really happy and proud! Thanks to all users, friends, family and investors for supporting us along the way.”
Congrats to the whole team!
