It has just been announced that Juan Andres Fontaine, the Chilean Minister of Economy, will visit Stanford University’s Center for Entrepreneurial Studies on the 22nd of September to speak about the Chilean entrepreneurial scene.
Mr. Fontaine has a masters degree in economics from Chicago University, is a former economics professor at the Pontifica Universidad Catolica in Santiago, Chile, and worked as a business director for some of Chile’s largest companies such as Banco Santander, Besalco, Mall Plaza, and Endesa. In 2010, he was inducted in to President Piñera’s cabinet as the Minister of Economy, Public Works, and Tourism.
