Tomorrow, Wednesday July 25th, 52 new projects will arrive in Santiago to complete Start-Up Chile´s 4th round of beneficiaries. These folks applied to the program in March, 2012, and got word about their acceptance in SUP on May 25th. Another group of beneficiaries belonging to the 4th round started their participation in Start-Up Chile in June: with the arrival of this new group of suppers, the 4th generation will be complete. Yee-haw!
More than 25 countries are represented among the 4th round of Start-Up Chile beneficiaries. The most frequently represented countries are: USA, Chile, Argentina, the United Kingdom, India, Spain, Canada and Uruguay. We are happy to have entrepreneurs coming from countries as diverse as China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Venezuela!
E-commerce is the most strongly identified industry (20% of the selected), which is then followed by IT & Enterprise Software (16%), Social Media & Social Networks (13%) and Healthcare & Biotechnology (9%). Remaining categories include Education, Energy & Clean Tech, Finance, Media, Mobile & Wireless, Natural Resources, Social Enterprise and Tourism.
