Adding Value

Ensuring Long-Term Impact in Chile

.

[Versión en Español]

Start-Up Chile was born out of the need and desire to promote global and high-potential entrepreneurship among local entrepreneurs which is believed to, in turn, be the catalyst to convert the country into the innovation and entrepreneurship hub of Latin America. Because the program will only last until 2014, the short-term impact of Start-Up Chile must leave long-term results and, to ensure that happens, the Return Value Agenda was created.

RVA Challenge

We don’t ask for any debt or equity from the program’s participants but we do require that they make a concerted effort to leave an impact on the local entrepreneurship environment by transferring their knowledge, skills, and global mindsets. As a participant in Start-Up Chile you will take part in seminars, talks, and classes in local universities; mentor young Chilean entrepreneurs; travel the country North to South sharing your experiences of success and failure, hoping to incite the Chilean innovators to be global entrepreneurs.

For each activity one participates in, they receive a certain amount of points and, by the culmination of their participation in the program, they are required to have accumulated at least 4000 points as part of the Return Value Agenda.
